We’re excited to announce that “Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the Whittier Public Library on Thursday, 2/21/19, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This screening has been made possible by the California Center for the Book’s “Californians: Community Conversations with Veterans.” This program is a partnership between California Center for the Book and Veterans Connect @ the Library, which in turn is a partnership between California public libraries and the California Department of Veterans Affairs to connect veterans and their families to benefits and services for which they are eligible. Thank you to Diane Hara, the Whittier Public Library, their Veterans Resource Center, their community partner of the American Legion Whittier Post 51, and the California Center for the Book for this huge honor. Special thanks to Rita Murray of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Whittier for speaking about their extensive resources.
